The digital artist known as Black Malcerta produces art that can only be described as nightmarish. Imagery akin to some of the more frightening characters seen in Pan’s Labyrinth or The Strain, most of Black Malcerta’s work consists of demons, dark angels, monsters, and frightening children. These digital paintings are beautifully detailed, often with a vivid punch of color in a predominately monochromatic scheme. Many of the characters appear gaunt, contorted, and tortured, but are skillfully rendered.
There is little personal information about this UK artist online (other than that he lives in “Bitchfield”), however his creative mind is one I think the Dirge Magazine family would love to pick. These tormented figures could easily be seen as concept art for a horror film or video game antagonist, and I for one would love to hear their back story.
