Jason Levesque, also known as the Stuntkid, is an illustrator and photographer hailing from Norfolk, Virginia. From a young age, Jason was a creative child with a heavy interest in art, and fortunately for us he had parents who encouraged him to nurture his creativity and skills.
Jason’s work deals heavily with fantasy, portraiture, and an interest in science and biology, with inspiration being pulled from areas including comics and Art Nouveau. When producing new work, he shoots reference photos of his models and starts with a sketch to form a composition he likes either in pen or within Photoshop. He finishes the art digitally using Photoshop’s pen tool, which allows for clean lines and sleek shapes.
The majority of Jason’s work includes the female form, often in partial or full nude, but with a twist: slugs slithering across skin, insects crawling, or even fungus and other organic forms growing from her body. This dichotomy of attraction and repulsion as well as the attractive organic forms has captivated a lot of attention towards his work. But most of all, Jason has succeed in capturing the many facets of female personality: alluring, pensive, innocent, sexual, funny, disturbing, bold, funky, nonchalant – but mostly just beautiful. It is difficult not to fall in love with some of the women in his illustrations.
