The Seriously Surreal Erotica of Yuji Moriguchi

Peach ClubAbsurd, a little alarming, and disturbingly provocative all at the same time, Tokyo artist Yuji Moriguchi produces some seriously surreal erotica. Working under his own name as well as a pseudonym ”Namida Zubon,” – literally meaning “Trouser Tears” – Yuji produces paintings ranging from retro 1950s manga to pregnant girls being deflowered by an octopus amongst Hokusai-like splashing waves. His method of fusing classical Japanese traditionalism with both Eastern and Western illustration styles has allowed him to visually traverse these sexual themes in a whole new way.

This is more than just tentacle porn, though. Characters from Japanese folklore doing things to school girls and housewives is a common theme, whether it involves koi gods, goblins, or a good old fashioned Kanamara Matsuri dick statue. Some of the paintings have leading titles like “The Peach Club,” allowing for an open ended interpretation by the viewers about the artwork.

Along with his exotic subject matter, his paintings also contain a plethora of flowers. In an interview with PingMag, Moriguchi said, “Flowers are kinky, aren’t they? They have a poisonous quality as well as a symbolic meaning.”

We love your symbolism Moriguchi. Keep on being kinky.
